This set actually features 2 x 10.8V 12v-peak series cordless tools. This means that the tools use a 10.8V Lithium-ion battery that when fully charged has an optimum performance of 12 Volts. During the cycle of the battery under a typical load, the voltage will average 10.8V. These lightweight Lithium-ion batteries will hold their charge for longer, with no discernible loss of performance throughout the charge of the battery. They also contain unique protection circuitry that prevents damage due to overloading, overcharging and high discharging; the result of this is that Hitachi Lithium-Ion batteries have up to 260% longer service life than similar batteries. Lithium-Ion batteries do not harmful cadmium, making them more environmentally friendly. Hitachi Lithium-ion batteries have a very low self-discharge rate. If the battery is not used the charge will only drop 5% over a 40 day period therefore requiring less energy for re-charge. This kit contains the Hitachi DS10DFL micro driver drill and the Hitachi WH10DFL lithium ion micro impact driver. Both tools Offer great performance and impressive power in a compact package. Both utilise the Hitachi environmentally friendly 1.5Ah lithium ion battery. These are two powerful drills giving maximum versatility and the combination of the DS10DFL and WH10DFL provide ample power and eqaully good control in compact, easy to handle models.
