This set actually features 2 x 10.8V 12-volt-peak series tools. This means that the tools use a 10.8V Lithium-ion battery that when fully charged has an optimum performance of 12 Volts. During the cycle of the battery under a typical load, the voltage will average 10.8V. These lightweight Lithium-ion batteries will hold their charge for longer, with no discernible loss of performance throughout the charge of the battery.
